Nico's Weg

Hey folks! It's me again. What's up? Hope you're just fine.

So. right now I'll write a review text about a movie named "Nico's Weg." Okay, basically this is a Deutsch movie. The duration is about an hour and 43 minutes. If you want to watch the movie, just click the link above.

This movie is intended to gives people lessons and informations about culture in Germany, such as the people right there, how they talk to each other, what are they habits, etc. The story of this movie is light but interesting, so I think everyone from all ages can watch this movie. In my opinion, the actors and actresses did a great job at playing their roles. The lessons and the informations in this movie is so helpful, especially for those who are studying Deutsch lesson, just like me.

The story begins with a scene where Nico was arrived at the airport in somewhere in Germany. He wants to go to his aunt's house. His aunt is Yara Gonzales, she had a bicycle store in Germany. After arrived, he went outside and put his bag in the sidewalk. While he waiting for the taxi to come,  he played with a little girl, named Emma. But, he was played too long and his bag was already gone. Emma's aunt, named Lisa Brunner offered him a ride in order to find his bag. In the car, Nico introduce himself. His full name is Nico Gonzales. But, he cannot speak Deutsch very well, so Emma and Lisa guide him to speak Deutsch properly.

They stopped for a moment at the gas station to refuel the car. Then, they met Max Stuhl, he is Lisa's friend. He met Nico and asked him few general questions. Nico tell him that he was from Sevile, Spain. He wanted to go to his aunt, which is lived here in Germany. But, unfortunately, Nico's bag were gone at the airport and he got nothing left except his aunt photo. Max suggest Lisa to contact her father, Jurgen Brunner, because he is a policeman , so maybe he can helps Nico find his bag and take him to Yara.

At the police office, Jurgen told that he will try to find Yara and her bicycle store. While waiting, Jurgen told Lisa to take Nico to the party at her house. Lisa's house is located at Wagnergasse.

In there, Nico met Sebastian and Nina, which is Lisa's friends. After Nico introduced himself, they took a lunch together inside the house. Then he met Naveen, which is Lisa's friend too who lived there with them. Naveen told him that he was from Thailand.

At night, the party was held. They were having fun, such as playing some games, had some conversations, had dinner, etc. Turns out, this party was actually a farewell party, because Naveen, the person who hold the party, will moved to France to continue his study. In there, Nico also met another Lisa's friend, Salma. She is from Damascus, Syria.

In the next day, since Lisa was a teacher, she must attend the class and teach her student about Deutsch language, At the afternoon, Lisa and Nico was looking for Yara's bicycle store, but they couldn't find it. Lisa told Nico that he can't stay at her house anymore, so she suggested him to find some young hostel, because it was cheaper than hotel.

Lisa asked Nico to take care Emma for one day, because she had another job that day. In the next day, Nico was come to work at a restaurant named Das Marek, which is owned by Max and Tariq, Lisa's friends. Then Lisa came and she told Nico that she didn't get any hostel for Nico. After heard that, an old lady named Angie, which is a costumer in there, offered him to stayed at her house with pleasure.

In the next day, Jurgen came by to Lisa's house and told Nico that he find Yara's address. Then, Nico and Lisa were planned to go to Yara's address. While Nico was staying with Angie, Lisa, Sebastian, Nina, and Naveen was having a vacation.

At Das Marek, Nico and Angie was having a breakfast. Nico also explained his hobbies, he likes to play soccer, swimming, listening to music, cycling, and fishing too. Max replied that he also likes to fishing, then he asked Nico to take a look some photos when he was fishing. Nico saw Yara's photo hanged on the wall. He told Max that she is his aunt.

Max brought Nico and Angie to Yara's bicycle store, so basically Yara is Max's friend and they worked together. After that, Max asked Nico and Angie to buy some food ingredients for their dinner. First, they went to a bakery to buy some breads, then they went to the market to buy another requirements.

Okay, so now we moved to Nico's bag's point of view. So, since the first time the bag was gone, it was actually taken by the airport's taxi. Then, the bag was put there in front of Konigshof hotel. After that, two homeless guys took the bag and also took some of Nico's clothes inside the bag. Then, they put the bag in fronf of a big house near the sidewalk.

Few days later, Salma found the bag and she intended to give it back to Nico. While then, Nico was about to buy some breads at the bakery. On the way, he met Salma and he saw his bag on her. He thanked her, and immediately he checked the bag. He found that some of his clothes, including his favorite shirt were gone. But, fortunately, his passport and phone were still there.

After heard that, Salma took him for a shopping. They went together and they bought lots of new clothes. They were very happy and enjoyed it. Then, Salma gave him her phone number in case if he wants to go shopping again next time.

When Nico arrived at Angie's house, Angie gave him some clothes which was belong to her late husband, Gunther, but Nico was not really like those clothes. Then, Salma came by to take her wallet which was carried away with Nico.

At night, Nico, Max, Tariq, and Jurgen the police went to Yara's bicycle store in order to investigate where did Yara actually going. But, they didn't get any result.

In the next day, Nico was having a mini soccer with Max, Tariq, and their other friends. in the middle of the game, Nico was injured and had to be taken to the doctor. After got some treatments from Dr. Gruppi, Nico must take a rest and some medicines.

Few days later, when Nico was finally cured, Nico and Angie were having a breakfast at Das Marek. Then, Tariq asked Nico whether he wants to go with him to Yara's bicycle store. While then, Salma and her family finally had their permission to lived in Germany. At Yara's bicycle store, Tariq told Nico that his bicycle were broken, so he brought it to Yara. But, Nico can repaired it by himself, then Tariq thanked him for that.

No longer after that, Yara had finally came to her bicycle store. She found that there were already Nico and Tariq waiting for her. The end.

After watching this movie, I can conclude that Deutsch people were so nice, , careful, punctual, friendly, professional, well-planned, easy going, forgiving, cheerful, expressive, honest, beautiful, handsome, likes to help each other, like cleanliness, and can blend easily with other people, even with strangers too. The society is also diverse, as evidenced by the presence of Lisa's friends, such as Salma and Naveen which is from outside of Germany.

That's all I can say. Hope it's helpful and give you new lessons. Looking forward to heard your comments and advice. Thank you! See you soon!

My Goal My Ambition

MY GOAL

 MY AMBITION

So, now I'm gonna tell you about my goal, my ambition, or what I want to be in the future. Well, actually, I haven't really decide it yet. But, here are my goals in the future. There are being a doctor, professional basketball player, and/or an entrepreneur.

Okay, so since elementary school, I always want to be a doctor. That is because my whole family: my parents, my grandparents, my aunt, and my uncle are doctors. So, I was thinking that I would like to continue my study at FK UNPAD or FK UI to be a doctor just like my family.

When I was at 3rd grade at elementary school, I joined my school's basketball team. I joined it because my PE teacher told me that I have advantages and talent in basketball, maybe because I was the tallest student that time, so yea finally I decided to joined and start played basketball. Since then, i kept practicing and realize that I was really enjoyed it, like i was having so much fun in the game of basketball.

I practice basketball once in a week when I was still at elementary school. I've joined many tournaments with my friends. I became a captain of my team when I was at 6th grade. Even tho me and my team never win a trophy, but we've learned, we got lessons and experiences that not all of my friends had it.

At junior high school, I increased my practice, maybe two or three times a week. I started to joined one of the best basketball club in Bandung. I met a lot of talented people and I got so much important lessons about basketball there. I've joined many tournaments that time, both in school's team and club.

When I was at 9th grade, which is my senior year at junior high school, I started to think, "How about being a professional basketball player?" Yes, I was thinking playing in IBL (Indonesian Basketball League) and be the member of Indonesia National Basketball Team. Yeah, someone's said "It's only crazy until you do it, so just do it." Honestly, I also think that this is crazy, but who knows right? So I still keep that dreams alive, until now.

At senior high school, I still practiced basketball, more often then ever. I can practice up to twice a day, four times a week. My 10th grade was amazing. My school's team won 4th position in a tournament, which is the highest position that I ever been. I also met lots of cool friends these time, and we'd support each others and made a great composition team. Even now it's on pandemic, we still practice basketball twice a week. Here, I felt like my skills are getting better and better, and I want to practice basketball forever in my life, whether it's just a hobby or maybe it will be my profession in the future.

When I was at 10th grade, which is the first year at senior high school, I have a brand new hobby, and that is a hobby to make some money by myself. That time, I was being a part time reseller on sneakers and streetwear items. Finally, at the end of the first semester, me and my friend made an online-based store. Basically, it's a consignment and pre-order store which is focused on sneakers and streetwear items. At the half of the second semester, we made another online-based store and it is a preloved and thrift store. Until now, at 11th grade, from these little business, I've got appromaximately 15 million Rupiahs. Not a bad start, but it's still far far away from being  successful.

Based on this hobby, I was thinking about being a business man or an entrepreneur. Because of it, I was thinking to continue my study at SBM ITB or Business Administration UNPAD.

Until I write this blog, I'm still confused about what journey should I take next? Where should I continue my study in the future? What should I become? I still asking my family and friend about it, about which way is the best for me. I hope I can get the answer as soon as possible and escape from this confusion. Aamiin...

Offer and Suggestion Dialog

DIALOGUES BETWEEN THE GOAT(S)

(GOAT = Greatest of All Time)

RED       = Offers
PURPLE = Suggestions

Kobe Bryant         : Hey yo, Mike!

Michael Jordan     : Hey Bryant! What's up man?

Kobe Bryant         : So umm... since yesterday's match against Celtics, I have a little
problem that keeps bothering me... until now

Michael Jordan      : Oo okay, and what is it exactly?

Kobe Bryant         : It was a one-point game and we only had five seconds left to catch
up. Shaq passed the ball to me and I decided to take the jump
shot. Unfortunately, my body lost its balance and I missed the shot.
Time's up and we lost the match.

Michael Jordan   : Well, winning isn't everything, Bryant. The important thing is
you work hard, you play hard, and you give your best at the court.
Besides, you just lost only one point from the greatest team in the
league. You should be proud of yourself and your teammates.

Kobe Bryant           : Yeah, but imagine if I can make that shot. My team can win the
game and be the first team in the league to defeat them. Don't you
                              think that's great?

Michael Jordan       : Yeah, I agree. Well, I think you should practice harder if you
want to be much better at taking jump shots.

Kobe Bryant            : I know, practice makes perfect. But, what kind of practice should I do?

Michael Jordan        : Hmmm... Okay, look, let me do a favor to you. Why don’t you
come to my house tomorrow? I have a basketball court in
my backyard. I think I can teach you there.

Kobe Bryant            : Awesome! Sounds great to me. Shall I come at 9 in the morning?

Michael Jordan        : I suggest you to come at 6 in the morning, so the air is
still fresh. But, if you want to come earlier it doesn't matter

Kobe Bryant            : Okay, that's cool. Let's do it!

Michael Jordan       : By the way, you know it's getting dark here. Shall we go home
                                 right now?

Kobe Bryant          : You're right, Mike. We should go home now. Would you like me
to give you a ride? Our house is only 3 blocks away, right?

Michael Jordan      : Ummm, maybe later, Bryant. My brand new Chevrolet C4 Corvette is
                                already there waiting for me

Kobe Bryant           : Hahaha okay then, no problem. See you tomorrow, Mike!

Michael Jordan       : See you tomorrow, brother!

[26/3 01:31] 9 August 10, 1946 in Bukit Tinggi a meeting was held

STORY

The Battle of Medan Area was one of the battles to maintain Indonesian independence. Just like the battles of Surabaya and Ambarawa, the battle in Medan was an attempt by North Sumatra fighters to stop the Dutch from wishing to regain control of Indonesian territories.

BACKGROUND

Almost similar to other battles during the revolutionary period, the battle of the Medan area began with the arrival of Allied forces on 9 October 1945 in North Sumatra. The force was led by Brigadier General T. E. D Kelly. The Allies brought one brigade, the 4th Brigade from the 26th Indian Division. The arrival of the brigade was also fooled by the Dutch Indies Civil Administration (NICA) who were secretly prepared to take over the Indonesian government.

At first the Indonesian government in North Sumatra allowed them to occupy several hotels in the city of Medan, such as the Hotel de Boer, the Grand Hotel, the Astoria Hotel etc. North Sumatra officials did not know their true purpose, but merely wanted to respect their duty to take care of prisoners of war held by the Japanese. Some Allied members and NICA were then stationed in Binjai, Tanjung Morawa, and several other places by installing field tents.
The day after landing in Medan, teams from the Rehabilitation of Allied Prisoners of War and Internees (RAPWI) had visited prisoners camps on Berayan Island, Saentis, Rantau Prapat, Pematang Siantar and Berastagi to help free prisoners and were sent to Medan with the approval of Governor M Hassan.

Unexpectedly, the prisoners of war were precisely formed into KNIL battalions. Changes in attitude were immediately apparent from the former captives. They were proud because they felt they were winners in World War II.

In anticipation of the arrival of the Allies and NICA, the youths immediately formed the People's Security Army Division (TKR) in Medan on September 13, 1945. The arrogant attitude of the former prisoner triggered various incidents with the youth of North Sumatra. The first incident broke out at a hotel on Jalan Bali, Medan on October 13, 1945. The incident began with a hotel occupant who seized and trampled on the red and white badge worn by a young man.

BEGINNING OF MEDAN AREA

The badge incident also marked the start of the Battle of Medan Area. The hotel was attacked and damaged by young people. In this incident about 96 people were injured, mostly NICA people. The incident then spread in several other cities such as Pematang Siantar and Berastagi.

As in other cities in Indonesia, Britain began its action to weaken the strength of the warriors by intimidating through pamphlets to the Indonesian people to surrender their weapons to the Allies.

Such efforts were also carried out by Brigadier General T. E. D. Kelly towards the Medan youth on the 18th of October 1945. Since then the Allied forces and NICA began carrying out acts of terror in the city of Medan, so that hostility with the youth was inevitable.

On the other hand, due to hostility with young people, British patrols outside the city never felt safe. Their safety is not guaranteed by the Indonesian government.
The increase in casualties on the British side caused them to strengthen their position and unilaterally determine their limits on power.

FIGHTING INCREASED FIERCELY

On December 1, 1945, the Allies installed boards with the words Fixed Boundaries Medan Area in various corners of the suburbs of Medan. From this moment the term Medan Area became famous.

This British action was a violation of the sovereignty and challenges of the youth. At the same time, the United Kingdom and NICA carried out a counter-action against elements of the Republic of Indonesia in the city of Medan.

Medan Area fighters

The youth responded to the actions of the Allies and NICA, so that confrontation was inevitable. As a result, the Medan region has become unsafe. Every eviction attempt was rewarded by a siege, even armed battles often took place.

On December 10, 1945, British and NICA forces attempted to destroy the concentration of the Tenatara Peoples Security (TKR) in Trepes, but the attempt was foiled. Subsequently a British officer was kidnapped by a young man. Some Allied trucks were also successfully destroyed.

This incident caused General T. E. D Kelly to threaten young men to surrender their weapons. Anyone who doesn't obey will be shot dead.

In April 1946, British troops began trying to push the Indonesian government in Medan to get out of the city. The Governor, Makras TKR Division, the Mayor of the Republic of Indonesia finally were transferred to Pematang Siantar. Thus, the British succeeded in conquering the city of Medan. Without a unitary command, it is impossible to carry out effective attacks on the positions of the British and NICA forces.

On August 10, 1946, in Tebingtinggi, a meeting was held between the commanders of the troops who fought in the Medan Area. The meeting decided to form a command named Medan Area Warriors Regiment Command, which was divided into 4 sectors and each sector was divided into 4 subsectors. Each sector has a battalion of strength. Komano's headquarters is based in Sudi Mengerti (Trepes). It was under the new command that the struggle in the Medan Area continued.
